Derek efficiently and effectively supports our office by assisting both the operations and marketing teams. He is originally from the Bay Area, born and raised in Antioch, before moving to Walnut Creek to attend De La Salle High School. He played many sports growing up, but ice hockey was his childhood love. In high school, Derek was a public speaker for De La Salle, which opened the doors to Saint Mary's College of California which he would attend from 2014 to 2020. During this time, he received an undergraduate BA in Kinesiology, as well as an MS in Business Management.

During his time at Saint Mary's, Derek found a love for rugby, where he would play for 4 years in school before being drafted third overall in the first Major League Rugby Draft to the Utah Warriors. He was a professional rugby player for one year before moving home to attack his career goals of becoming a firefighter and real estate agent. Derek also enjoys the outdoors; anything from surfing, backpacking, and riding any board towed behind a boat.
