Ken brings an excellent background of management and leadership to the field of real estate where he has always maintained strong personal and professional connections. For over 25 years, Ken sustained a track record of proven leadership providing consistent growth and bottom-line achievement with Fortune 500 media companies through his effective management teams. His incredible, pre-real estate resume includes national and regional newspapers including the Santa Barbara News-Press, the Wilmington Star-News, the Marin Independent Journal, and The New York Times Company Regional Newspapers. He was recognized for leadership skills after he successfully launched Wilmington Magazine, a stand-alone publication serving the communities of Southeast North Carolina and was awarded the prestigious Corporate Citizen of the Year by the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. He became a licensed agent in 2007 and helped form the Bishop Real Estate Group. His firsthand knowledge of the banking industry, impressive portfolio management, and unsurpassed expertise of advertising and marketing has been a tremendous asset and has allowed us to build a first-class brand and reputation in the marketplace.
While Ken has (mostly) retired as an agent, he still serves as an owner and advisor to the Bishop Real Estate Group, leveraging his extensive business and marketing experience to help guide the team. He currently lives in Roseville with his wife, Dana, and spends time at their house at Lake of the Pines in Auburn. In his free time, he golfs as often as his schedule and weather permits, but his true joy is spending time with his family including his kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Ken, along with Kendra and Dana, are the founding partners of the Bishop Real Estate Group. He is also a Placer County Association of REALTORS® Outstanding Life Masters Club Member.
